Dr. Syntax

The world's first ever non-animated cartoon character created in 1809 by British artist Thomas Rowlandson. His appearance is that of a scrawny and eccentric elderly clergyman/schoolmaster. He was hugely successful, spawning many imitators and even creating the first ever market for tie-in merchandise.

Without Dr. Syntax, famous characters like Mickey Mouse, Bonzo the Dog and Felix the Cat wouldn't have had their iconic cartoony designs.

a man, usually in a respected profession or rich, who has an alter ego completely opposite of his public image, especially with his spouse, partner or members of the same household

A play on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Dr. Jekyll was a scientist and Mr. Hyde was his other personality representing his evil side.

My ex was a narcissistic gaslighter who cared more about what others thought of him than me. He always treated me differently in private than in public. So happy I dumped Dr. Hyde. 😌🙏🏾

The dean of urban witch-doctors. Blues guitarist in the ritradition of Robert Johnson. Proved that the entity that bluesmen talk about meeting at the crossroads at midnight was NOT the white european devil; but a west african diety of communications. Lives in Oakland; serving all the people especially the musicicand entertainment world. See "shabubu" the usage comes from Famous Dr. Shabubu's life and legend.
