"Do you understand?" or "Do you comprehend".
The general usage of the term DIG as an indicator of understanding "do you dig" / "dig me" (as in "do you understand") comes from non-English speaking Irish immigrants in the USA speaking Irish to each other.
"An dtuigeann tú?" (pronounced "On digging two") means "Do you understand?".
Also used in a short form "dig it", "dig me" etc.
Used in the 50's by the beatniks, the 60s and 70s saw it enter into the AAVE lexicon, the used of the term was widely popularised in blacksploitation movies such as Shaft, and later movies such as "The Warriors".

Literally asking someone if they enjoy something or if they are enjoying something at that moment. Asking another person if they are in favor of something. Asking if they approve.

A phrase used by the popular YouTuber PewDiePie to covey the superiority of his personalised, £399 chair. This has now become a meme, and a popular theme in his own meme sub-reddit.
PewDiePie also says it can be used to show your intellectual dominance over anyone in an argument simply by leaning back on you’re chair and shouting ‘BUT CAN YOU DO THIS?’

Your less-intellectual friend- The Earth is round, man
You, realising you’re wrong but still wanting to prove your intellectual dominance- BUT CAN YOU DO THIS?

To be truly able to visualize or understand a topic about anything in particular. To actually see what it is that is going on. To be so excited about what is happening around you and you need to find out if someone else can see it to.
Jeremy notices puppy's playing on the television, he asks Aleshia "can you see?"
Jeremy is wearing a new shirt, he asks his girlfriend, "can you see?"
Out of sheer joy for the day ahead of him, Jeremy runs around the house screaming in a childs voice, "CAN YOU SEE!!?

That's 20,000 hardcore members, 40,000 counting affiliates and 20,000 more not organised but ready to fight. 60,000 soldiers! Now there ain't but 20,000 police in the whole town. Can you dig it?
