A large group of men or women that travel together in social situations to pursue the opposite sex. Can often lead to smaller groups of the opposite sex feeling like they are french fries at a seagull convention. Droves of men or women can be highly intimidating, especially if they are under the influence of large amounts of alcohol .

I went with my friend to watch fireworks and we were swarmed with droves of men.
