Japanese tea ceremony

Cha-no-yu has been referred to as the "Japanese Tea Ceremony" for many years but the word literally means hot water for tea. The simple art of Chanoyu is really a synthesis of many Japanese arts with the focus of preparing and serving a bowl of tea with a pure heart. The principles of Wa Kei Sei Jaku (harmony, respect, purity and tranquility) are the principles that practitioners of Chanoyu integrate into their study of tea and into their daily lives.

Cha Bonehead

A common greeting in reference to someone who looks like Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs the rhythm guitarist (sometimes celloist) of Oasis. Bonehead himself maybe recognised for having a casual look on his face constantly and having soft cheeks, like that of a peach. the word 'Cha' is a bastardization of 'Here' which is nowadays used frequently in Geordie Slang

1. Rasta way of saying "Yea, man" (Translation into mid-west jargon is "You Betcha")
2. An enlightened, or enthusiastic agreement, especially if by stating the obvious there is a greater signifigance that is left unsaid.

Cha-Cha Man

A slang word meaning Pakistani, Kashmiri, Asian (sub-continent). Originally used a derogatory word in the late seventies and early eighties by the afro-carribean community for the Pakistani/Kashmiri youths of that generation. This name was then taken on board by the next generation of youths. It was then held in high esteem up to the present day to be known as a Cha-Cha Man.

'You know that yoot. The Cha-Cha Man.'
