Wank

First used as a verb in 1905, the word 'wank' was created as a combination of 'wiener' and 'yank.' Wiener being the slang for penis in the US, and 'yank' meaning to pull with great force. Some historians argue that the word wank is a combination of 'willy' and 'yank'. 'Willy' being more common as a slang for penis in the UK.
