shipping

The word comes from 'relationship', and means supporting an existing romantic relationship between two characters, or the idea of two characters who are not currently together being a couple. The couple are called a 'ship', and the person doing the shipping is a 'shipper'. The term can also be used in reference to real-life people. A person's favourite 'ship' is their 'OTP' - One True Pairing.

Skipping out on a tab

when you buy a drink at the bar where they know you and you have no cash at the time, you get them to put it on your account (tab). If you leave the area or disappear without paying that account, you are skipping out on a bar tab

You're in a bar:
-hey man... can I get some drink... I'll pay you later..
-sure... here..
Then you take a few drinks and take off.... and just disappear...
and that's called "Skipping out on a tab"...

Amount charged for shipping an item above the actual cost of the item. Used when discussing sites, such as ebay, where sellers will sometimes charge large flat-rate shipping costs in order to try to get more profit from a sale.

I bid low because the shipping tax was outrageous.
