The movement to spread equality to everyone around the globe. People think that feminism is just females trying to be just like men. That is ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. Feminists want men and woman to be equal, as well as straight people and lgbtq+ people.

Get the Feminismmug. Feminism by definition is just the advocacy for women's rights. Average feminists just want equal pay, to be treated equally to men in social settings, treated like they are intellectually equal to men, treated like they are psychically equal to men. The extreme ones however, want men to treated as if they inferior to women. They want to point out every single time that a woman has been victimized by a man or men. They want to take any and all chances they can to prove that women are psychically equal to men. These people get angry when they aren't being treated equally to men but if men are being treated unfairly that's fine. They rarely aren't pissed off about everything all the time. They want to be treated as if they are superior to men. I'm just talking about the extreme feminists (Or third wave feminists).Regular feminists are cool. The extreme ones are the ones that give other feminists a bad rep.

This theory ignores the vast amount of information and evidence that every issue it brings up is primarily based around a choice that a woman makes compared to that of their male counterparts.

It has a track record of imposing itself on other systems of thought and belief as in "feminist science" and "feminist psychology", rarely producing things that are of worth to the field the feminist label has been placed on it.

Get the Feminismmug. A movement still focused on equalizing women in society. However, feminazis (moronic women attempting to appropriate feminism in order to further their jaded and man-hating ways) have ruined the party.
Do not confuse feminism with feminazism. I am a man-loving feminist, not a man-hating feminazi. Also, these donuts are delicious.

"that women are in fact human beings with the same basic human rights and needs for self fullfillment as men."
A definition that might seem flat and dumb to the less educated masses who might not consider the short historic period this has been an accepted idea. (some are still arguing.)
There are many challenges yet to conquer for the modern feminist, you need only take a look at the other definitions offered at this very site to get a general feeling for the hassle and dicrimination a woman or man feminist might encounter daily.

Next time ignorant suckers bemoan the fact that they no longer have the legal responcibility of the woman they choose to mary, the fact that they no longer have to fear getting a girl pregnant each time they have sex and the fact that they can afford the newest wide screen tv because their significant other was able to chip in cause she's like getting payed soon to be eaqually at her job. Take a time to think about what feminism gave you for free while you was busy scratching your balls and feeling underprivileged.
