Band Cancer

A person in a marching band, whether it be Highschool or College, who constantly causes a disfigured shape or form within the structure/picture the band is trying to display. This person has either very poor perception, disabled in some way, or just lazy.
Guy 1: "Dude, the flower in our last formation looked like a giant dick on field..."
Guy 2: "It was that dumb clarinet bitch..."
Guy 1: *Facepalm* *sigh* "Band cancer, right there...."

Bandbag

a cocky, self-centered, over confident male who participates in band. Often thinks he is popular and a ladies man. Sometimes may actually be quite talented, but usually just egotistical.
"Wow, Tim always gets so pissed off when the jazz band messes up"
"Yeah he is such a bandbag"

"Tim always dates the colorguard girls, fucks them, then dumps them."
"He is the biggest bandbag."

Kid in the band

Not to be mixed up with a band kid
A kid in the band is someone who enjoys band but isn’t a complete outcast. Plus for fun and is a pretty chill and nice person.
Band kid: “how do you do fellow band kid”
Kid in band: “I’m not a band kid I’m just a kid in the band stop talking to me”

band camp

When marching band students have to attend a program (either at their school or somewhere else, like a summer camp or college) for a period of time averaging about a week (depends on the school). Here they practice their instruments, learn/memorize songs for the upcoming season, and learn drills and how to march. For some people, it's the best time of their lives, for others it's a living hell. It all depends on the particular school and band.
-Despite common perception, not all band camps are merely staging grounds for sexual activity. Some schools enlist the help of band parents in chaperoning the trip to make sure that the students (particularly the freshmen) don't get away with anything illegal or sexual in nature. Furthermore, sources show that most flute players have never shoved their flute into any part of their bodies, despite the line about it in American Pie.
Typical band camp activities may include: Marching, standing in the hot sun for hours, getting eaten alive by bugs, marching, playing instruments, getting weird tan lines, marching, choking down partially edible food, coming up with strange inside jokes nobody outside of band will ever understand, getting soaked, getting lost in nearby woods at night, sleeping, pulling off pranks, and oh yeah, more marching.
2)An excuse to tell a long (or not so long), funny, and often stupid story.
3)Where all your friends in band are during the summer. (also a viable excuse for not seeing your friends if you're in band.)
1)A few weeks before school started, the Anytown High School marching band went to band camp.
2)"This one time at band camp... we got lost in the woods on our way to practice and then these moquitoes that were like THIS BIG attacked us so I fended them off with my clarinet and then Jimmy jumped out at us and I got so scared I hit him with my clarinet too..."
3)-"Dude, I haven't seen you since July... where were you?"
-"Yeah, I was at band camp."

Marching Band

1)The greatest extracurricular you can ever join. It's so kickass, and we work so much harder than the damn football team

2)The activity that consumes your summer.

3)Where all the hot guys are.
I have a marching band competition on Saturday. We're going to kick North Penn's ass.
