Derived from a group of male students identified by their rodent tendancies in Preston (UK) circa 2003-4 who travelled round the town in a unit.

Psyching themselves up for a good night of rat behaviour, members would often call out "Rat Unit", and use the term as a defence for any rat behaviour that is carried out.

Bit of rat

Phrase used to describe an attractive female.

Can also be replaced with a hand single if perving in stealth mode. This hand signal usually takes the form of a "claw" shape which one perv would use to indicate an asthetically pleasing female to other pervs.

Can also be replaced with the word "Rattage" pronounced rat-targe. See example 2.

1. "Did you see her? She was a lovely bit of rat"

2. *Good looking woman walks passed*
Perv A: "Rattage!"
Perv B: "Agreed"

Fag is a derogatory term for a gay person. Or a term used for insults in general. And rats are commonly associated with dirty places. So when calling someone a "Fag rat" you are calling them a dirty/ gross "fag". Also used as an insult in general nkt specifically a dirty person

River Rat

The go to move of bad poker players. A river rat is a player who, despite holding bad cards and hitting nothing on the flop, continues to bet right up until the fifth and final community card, the river card. More often than not noobs such as this usually get lucky on the river and insist on bragging about it despite the fact that their success was down do dumb luck and not skill. A river rat doesn't know when to fold and due to their ignorance pridefully consider themselves aggressive players rather than crap players, which is what they are. The most agonizingly annoying thing about river rats is that they have a tendency to be arrogant when they suck out, completely oblivious to the fact that they wouldn't last 2 seconds in a real tournament.

Guy 1 - Man check out that douche, he went right to the river with a stinking deuce seven off suit and sucked out running sevens.

Guy 2 - I know aye, and look at that smug smile on his face, acting like he's an expert poker player when really he's just a noob river rat tosser.
