A feminist is someone who fights for gender equality. A lot of people think feminists are women who think they are superior to men. That isn't a feminist, but a misandrist. A real feminist can be any gender, and fights for equal rights for both women AND men. If someone claims to be a feminist but hates men, they aren't a real feminist.

What feminism is now
Still a good cause, most women have gotten basic human rights, but we still fight for the ones who don't. There are also many other things such as d/m/stic v/olence (o, m, i) and r/pe (a) that are still very large problems that need to be solved. Intersectionality is also something that needs to be studied more in depth. I am in no way saying that men do not have these problems too, I am just saying it is more common that women have these problems. You can be a feminist man.
