when you're telling someone the tea and instead of saying "period sis" you just say "case closed"
Example 1
girl 1: " that girl was trying to make me jealous with a pic of her and my ex"
girl 2: "really?"
girl 1: "yeah, and I already knew she was less than me but that proves it even more. case closed"
Example 2
"I hit her with the facts and that's that, case closed"
"Doxastically closed" describes a person who is unwilling to change their (false) beliefs regardless of any arguments against it.
The term is used in Street Epistemology and goes back to Peter Boghossian’s "A Manual for Creating Atheists". His definition: “I use the term to mean that either a specific belief one holds, or that one’s entire belief system, is resistant to revision.”
Bob: "1+1=3"
Anthony: "Imagine an empty table. You put one cup on the table. Then you put another cup on the table. How many cups are on the table?"
Bob: "Two."
Anthony: "Putting down one cup and then another cup is '1 cup + 1 cup' and you correctly identified the result as '2 cups'. So you see: 1+1=2"
Bob: "No, 1+1=3"
Charlie (to Dan): "Bob sure is a *very* doxastically closed person."
ajective...describes someone who is too insecure about themselves to be there own person and trys to act like someon else and may also have bushy eyebrows
When one person (voters) votes on something to get points or some shit like that for a Q&A community such as Yahoo Answers. When an answer is "Chosen by Voters", it's most likely not going to be of any help.
It helps to add quotes around the phrase to make it seem like a joke.
A lot of people seem to have the same questions as me on Yahoo Answers. Too bad the answers are always "Chosen by Voters".
