Whist in the act of "hawking" the hawk will believe they are invisible, however this is a common mistake as they can clearly be seen.

Origins: The makers of annoying animated gifs of the 1990's were the original eye slappers. A crude and brutish bunch. The nascent robber barons of screen real estate.
