Slump Duck

noun: A creature that follows one around and causes laziness, complacency, general disregard for one's well being. It stands about 40 feet from head to webbed foot and is invisible. Can only be defeated by pure will power to succeed and wanting the Slump Duck to die. Unless killed, it will follow you for the rest of your life, however short that may be.

Man: Dude, I don't want to do my term paper.
Friend: The Slump Duck strikes again!

Woman: I don't really need to shower today, or tomorrow. Wait, DAMN YOU SLUMP DUCK!

Unplug the Duck

“Unplug the Duck” is an expression used when asking a colleague to turn off the lights in his office thereby allowing him to leave work early while others may think he is still at work.

The “duck” part of the expression is a reference to its use as a “decoy”, projecting a false appearance.

Carl: "I'm slipping out of the office early, can you “unplug the duck” for me?
Ralph: "No problem. Enjoy your afternoon on the golf course."

Fudge the Duck

The art of lathering a fudge or chocolate glaze on a piece of raw or cooked duck.

It was started by the ancient warriors in the mountains of China and it eventually died out in the late 19th century. Although most would believe it to be gone, some still practice it to this day.

I used to Fudge the Duck with my Uncle Steph.
