student ghetto

n. an urban neighborhood primarily inhabited by college students, and located near major universities. A combination of students' low incomes, lifestyles, and constant demand for housing provides landlords no incentive to maintain their properties and locals no incentive to stay. Although shabby, these areas usually have fairly row crime rates when compared with actual ghettos.

Examples include: Oakland in Pittsburgh (Pitt and CMU), Hyde Park in Chicago (UChicago), and the entirety of State College, PA (Penn State)

Parent: "The area around the University looks awful!" Tour guide: "Don't worry, ma'am, it's just a student ghetto."

The greatest night club to have ever existed!!!! The night club that started all night clubs, that gave birth to and nurtured Disco music.

1) Studio 54 is the only place to dance.
2). MDA is what made Studio 54 such a great party.
3). If you're not pretty or sexy or famous, dont even bother trying to get in to Studio 54 while Stevie's on the door.

studious maximus means to study to the max; beyond what a normal person would ever consider studying; to study all day and all night and probably on lots caffeine.

With six finals and four term papers due on thursday Peter was studious maximus last week and he didn't sleep a wink.
