Person Pitch

An ultra-euphoric and positively magical record by Panda Bear, aka Noah Lennox. Kind of like a mix between The Beach Boys and a highly eclectic DJ-set (or maybe something like Four Tet), the seven tracks on this album are built from reverby loops which sample everything from 60s surf pop and psych-rock (Bros, Take Pills), to chanting choirs (Comfy in Nautica, I'm Not), to Indian tablas, dub, and hip hop beats (Good Girl/Carrots), and even Enya (Search for Delicious). The result is a fun, colourful, and entertaining album that jumps through genres while maintaining a cohesive, singular sound. It's good for studying, or for relaxing after a day of mind-numbing work, or for simply drowning out your cognitive functions via headphones.

The album is also notable for its Brain Wilson-ish harmonies, and also for using dreamy reverb before dreamy reverb became a "chillwave" trend (not that it doesn't sound good, but the average listener can only take so many cocteau twins impressions before it gets boring!).
Panda Bear: i dooo love you and i want to holdd ooonnnn to yoooouuuu fooorrr allwwaaayyss.
Nameless Human: Thanks bro!

Average Person Pitch Listener: Well, that was a rather nice album.

perfect pitch

Abnormally hightened sense of pitch perception, allowing one to do most (if not all) of the following:

* Correctly identify a musical note by name without any reference tone.

* Correctly sing a musical note at whim without any reference tone.

* Correctly identify the key a song is played in without any reference tone.

* Discern how sharp or flat a musical tone is, relatively speaking, without any reference tone.

Also (more accurately) called absolute pitch.

This ability, possessed by about 0.01% of the population, can be very helpful.......or almost useless.

No, you don't necessarily have to be born with it.
Traci astounded the rest of her band by effortlessly naming random notes they played. She has perfect pitch.

sales pitch

Talk that attempts/intends to persuade someone of something; sweet-talk.
WOMAN: Can you cut my son's hair tonight and I'll pay you tomorrow.

MAN: No. That's only a sales pitch intending to cause problems.

indefinite pitch

Indefinite pitch is used as a musical term. Definite pitch is meaning instruments with diferent sounds and pitches while indefinite pitch is meaning one sound played only.
The drum has a indefinite pitch while the piano has a definite pitch.😆

absolute pitch

Absolute pitch (commonly referred to as perfect pitch) is the rare musical ability to distinguish notes and pitches without a given reference. For example, people with AP can automatically spot the difference between an "Gb" (G-flat) and a Db (D-flat) without any hints given. The odds of being born with AP is 1 in 47,000 people, making this phenomenon rare. Absolute pitch can be distinguished in people who are blind since birth, and in most cases, people affected by Williams Syndrome and autistic spectrum disorders. Some famous examples of absolute pitch include John Phillip Sousa, Ludwig van Beethoven, Julie Andrews, Freddie Mercury, Yanni, Steve Vai, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert, the Mendelssohn siblings, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is said to have been born with absolute pitch, playing one of his father's piano sonatas correctly four minutes after listening to it. He was at the age of four at the time.
