lb means left bench in any sport, specifically football. it's used when someone acts like they're on the team but really only finds their ass on the bench. they participate in practice and go to games but never step foot on the field. they wear the team apparel and discuss team activities as if they were part of the team but never truly partake in games.
Brier was talking about how busy he was because of football practice but he really only plays LB so it doesn't even make sense.
