A request that the listener/audience waits until they have heard all the information before voicing their opinion. Often said when the speaker anticipates that what they are about to say will be prematurely interrupted, dismissed or ignored without allowing the full story being told.
Family Guy: Brian & Stewie (S08E17)

Stewie: Look, I’m going to propose something and I need you to hear me out. Will you promise me you’ll do that?

Brian: I guess...

Stewie: You guess? Or you will?

Brian: Yes I’ll hear you out.

Phrase said by experienced musicians to a newbie just joining the band for the first time. Also common in jazz improvisation situations. This phrase may be said at rehearsal time OR when playing live.
Puzzled new musician:
"So how was that line over the 3/4 bar in the B section?"

Band member:
"Don't worry, just keep up with us, you'll hear it".

This is the tagline for the film Alien, which was directed by Ridley Scott, not James Cameron, as currently stated on this site. Cameron directed the sequel, Aliens.
"In space, no one can hear you scream." is on e of the most quoted and parodied timelines in film history. It would have been more accurate if applied to Cuaron's Gravity, in which the silence of space plays a role in the narrative.
