Fritter Scrolling

Wasting time, energy or money, scrolling aimlessly through frivolous content on social media, websites or video sharing sites. Could also be loosely be referred to as Idle Scrolling, which is spending time doing nothing, albeit one is scrolling, they are scrolling without purpose, aim or goal.

The concept is also applied to wasting time through other means, see Fritter Lifing.

I was fritter scrolling and didn't realise how much time had past.

Fritter Lifing

Wasting time, energy or money, being unproductive or carrying out tasks that are not worth the time nor provide any value, especially when one has responsibilities/commitments that have to be met in the very near future.

Similar to Fritter Scrolling but doing something besides scrolling, but for general wasteful activities like sleeping excessively, lazying around or watching TV for the sake of watching TV.

Stop fritter lifing and do your chores!

A pejorative term typically used by 4chan users on the Video Games board to indicate the subject has been victim of a casual filter. It is typically used facetiously to call someone bad at a game as an insult. Can be used in other contexts, e.g. calling oneself bad at the game.

When someone quickly eats shit. Usually face first. Things that can be grittered are: face, hands, knees and elbows. Its the same thing a scrape but a better way to say it.
