the process of approaching prospective customers or clients, typically via telephone, who were not expecting such an interaction. The word "cold" is sometimes thought of as being used because the person receiving the call is not expecting a call or has not specifically asked to be contacted by a sales person. It is pretty much another word of telemarketing

I hate when those people from overseas are cold calling me to sell me insurance that I already have.

Often used with ‼️‼️🔥🔥 It means the statement is either incredibly dumb or incredibly smart. its opposite is “HARVARD JUST HUNG UP🔥🔥” It uses Harvard as a reference because its known to be extremely hard to get into.

Person 1 : “Why dont we just make people live where the food is to solve world hunger?”
Person 2 : “ HARVARD IS CALLING‼️‼️🔥🔥”

pot calling the kettle black

This is a phrase that states that the person you are talking to is calling you something that they themselves are (and generally in abundance).

This comes from old times when pots and pans were generally black and kettles were generally metallic and reflective. Therefore the pot sees its black reflection in the kettle and thinks that the kettle is black.

*this can also sometimes be shortened to "pot, kettle, black."*
