They generally have no care or concern for the person or people they are "hating" on and couldn't care less if they ruin a person's reputation, career, or life. In addition, the term hater can be used to describe an immature person who doesn't have enough life experience or knowledge to properly debate a subject in an educated and informative manner.
(1) This hater from 7th grade straight up told me that it was better to keep a child in a bad environment than it would be to leave that environment for a better life. He's obviously a total douche. (2) This hater was creepin on my social media account, and I deleted him before he ruined my life with his fake comments and false accusations.
