The fans are known for not only booing, but spitting and throwing anything they can get their hands on at the band. They view any opening band as just another thing getting in the way of them seeing Slayer perform. Because of this Slayer is known as one of the hardest bands to open for.
Static-X opened for them and Pantera and still talk about it many years later. After the show the fans of Slayer would brag about how Static-X was slayerized.
