sitting-down beer

he style/type of beer often consumed while sitting down. These beer types are commonly characterized by:

- Marketing based on culture, i.e. beer afficianados
- Higher cost (less expensive)
- Sometimes referred to as "microbrews"

Sitting-down beer can be consumed while standing, but doesn't really fit the mojo. "Sitting down" is not an absolute requirement.

Sitting-down beer is in direct contrast to standing-up beer.

Common scenarios where sitting-down beer is found:

- Pleasant dinner with colleagues
- "Game night" with other couples
- Bars/taverns that cater to professional clientele

I got to the restaurant and just down at the first seat, i didn't realise that Geoff was going to sit there and I ended up sitting chaperone all night with Geoff giving me the evil eye all night.

Sitting on Salt

Giving a great deal of thought to something, whether it be something quite insignificant, or a life-altering choice that has to be made. Often accompanied by a vacant stare into the room.

Sitting on salt may have two fall-outs.
1) You may find a positive conclusion and end up "using the salt" for something useful,
2) You may come to a negative conclusion and end up throwing salt in your own wounds.

Sitting on salt about anything for a long period of time is disadvised.

Huh? Oh, sorry! I was just sitting on salt, I guess...
