New York City
A thriving metropolis considered by many as the "greatest city in the world" is mired with homeland security issues in post-9/11. The Republican National Convention came and went as the city and federal government spent untold millions to make it safe for the GOP delegation and attendees. After the World Trade Center came down on 9/11, lower Manhattan was left with a nondescript skyline, leaving a huge void in the financial epicenter of the world.
1. New York City is home to a myriad of financial institutions, institutions of higher-learning, law firms, media outlets, proffesional sports teams, parks, governmental offices, corporate headquarters, and houses the largest collection of skyscrapers in the world.
2. The World Trade Center in New York City, was once the single largest office complex of its kind (second in size to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.) with 110 floors in each tower, consisting of a little over 11,000,000 square feet of rentable space. It included an observation deck, hotel, pedestrian plaza, shops and restaurants. The World Trade Center had direct access to subway lines and world commerce. It's an American icon that will be truly missed.
3. New York City is smoke-free in all public places thanks, in part, to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and New York Governor George Pataki.

new castle girl
For whoever said new castle girls are trash just wishes they were one. I lived in Delaware my whole life and am proud to be a New Castle girl!! Yeah we have big mouths and we fight at the drop of a hat, but we also are loyal and strong and independent. My girls from New Castle would have my back at any given minute. New Castle girls are one of a kind and if you know some you know what I mean. If you come across a New Castle girl and have something foul to say about where we are from you better have your gaurd up cause we are quick to swing.

In general what it means to be a New Yorker:
One that has lived life (ie. live 10x in life, versus most other places in the world where you only 1x in life)
One that doesn't have time to waste, as he/she is experiencing human life on this planet to the fullest
One that understands and lives to the motto: you only live once (and/or for women, you are only hot once)
One that is not afraid to live/speak from your default self/soul state and core essence as a human being, versus from your ego state (as in generally superficial places like LA/OC, etc.)
Ie. New Yorkers speak from their soul, and do not need to put up fronts/characters/fake social conditioned politeness ego selves(in order to validate themselves) to live human life at the core essence/fullest
