doc in a box

These "Urgent Care Centers" that are popping-up all over the U.S. are collecting several slang terms, the most popular seems to be "doc. in a box" as many of these facilities are free standing structures (boxes) and have either a doctor (doc.) and/or sometimes a "nurse practitioner" who operates under the supervision of a doctor. Another slang term sometimes heard is "band aid station" but that term is most often used as slang for a small rural or regional hospital due to them being (at times) under staffed or equipped for more major procedures. Either one refers to a small medical facility/clinic.

I broke my arm at work yesterday and my employer sent me to the doc in a box to get it splinted. I'm going to get more x-rays and a follow-up with a specialist tomorrow.

invisible box

when a person is high drunk or tripping balls, you talk to them and tell them about a box you have in your hands. Then you talkto them as you are putting the "invisible box" over there head. when the box is over there head, you move your mouth but do not talk, creating the illusion that the box does not allow you to hear. If done correctly the person under the influence will flip out.

My friend gave me the invisible box last night. I was so scared that i was deaf i almost ripped my ears out.

booster box

A tool used by shoplifters. Usually a shoebox with one side of it cut out, and lined with tin foil. The missing side is held against the body and items are stuffed into the box and then walked out of the store. The tin foil is used so that the anti theft device won't set of any alarm systems on the way out. Often tested by putting a cellphone in the box and then trying to call it. If the phone doesn't ring, then it's usuable. If it does, the one solution is to use more tinfoil.
On a side note, you will be arrested if found in posession of one of these, even if you were not in the act of shoplifting.
