Someone who is an attention seeker or a warning that a person will unlikely to bring any goods whoever they lure. Siren both means alarm (from a cop's car), and a synonym for mermaids.

An evil 'harpy' or merperson with destructive musical enchantment powers, (e.g. magically luring sailors to their deaths with their voice or song, etc.).
'A siren magically summoned a hurricane by screaming and playing the electric guitar-sending everything flying rapidly across the island.'
