The highest female voice type, highest choir part. The soprano section of a choir may often be divided into Soprano I and Soprano II, each singing different parts when the soprano music breaks off into two sections.
A woman or pre-pubescent boy who possesses such a voice.

All the other sopranos in my choir decided to ditch class on the same day, and I ended up having to hit that damn high A by myself.
