A selfer prefers to DIY everything, ignores professionals and turns any project into a chaotic mess. Selfers think they're visionaries but they actually produce looks like something out of a horror movie.
Instead of hiring a pro, they rearrange old things, patch up broken items and call it an "upgrade".
In design: If you're ever seen a bathroom with a toilet next to the fridge, a house covered in 17 different wallpapers or chandelier hanging in the middle of a kitchen island, you've seen a selfer's work.
In life: It applies to anyone who stubbornly does things alone, refuses expert advice and ends up making things
