"Sci-Fright" is quite simply a scary science fiction movie. It is one that incorporates not just science fiction elements but horror and terror as well. Some good examples would be the line of "Alien," "Terminator," and "Starship Trooper" films for instance.

The bright flash makes their skin tone look even, & hides any unsemetric flaws they may have (ie: acne, pot marks, gingervitas).
