Fandom Repulsion

Fandom repulsion is when you join a fandom and begin to enjoy it despite the negatives(e. drama/shipping debates/etc.), get really deep into it— and then something happens that is related to that fandom(e. drama/discourse/etc.) that makes you quit the fandom so abruptly that you never want to even hear about it again. Maybe even to the point of blocking and muting, or deleting your account.
Amy: “Did you hear about The Game of Thrones?”

Luke: “God, yea. I can’t stand the show after the fandom, even muted all the terms on Twitter. You could say I have Fandom Repulsion.”

Fandom Humor

Jokes only people apart of a certain fandom can understand, the worst type of humor. Usually cringe.

Person 2: “Fandom humor is unfunny.”

- SBN3, SoBroRadio 1-31-2021
People who like Harry Potter, but aren't transphobic, are suffering from the Fandom Over Freedom Fallacy.

Pro BLM people who like Dragon Ball Z despite the racist depictions of black people.

Feminists who like Star Trek: The Next Generation despite SEVERAL rapey Deanna Troi episodes.
