Kill switch

A kill switch, every doomsday machine has one, I guess. It's the last resort off button, and a huge plot device. Robot going crazy? Kill switch. Inator foiled by a teal platypus? Kill switch. Machine gains sentience and greatly dislikes it? Kill switch. It's that easy!

"Bro, help! My vacuum is turning on me and becoming evil!"
"Does it have a kill switch?"
"Uh... no?"
"It was nice knowing you."

Shenzhen Switcheroo

When you order electronics of some description from China but receive a vastly different looking device which nonetheless appears to be the exact same item. Often these are gray-market, recycled, or disguised genuine items. They may also be functional counterfeits sold under another name locally but under their original name to foreigners.

My new charger says it was made by Aggle in Californib. Might have been the old Shenzhen Switcheroo.
