Thai-made Australian Bush hats worn by F-105 pilots and their EWOs who were stationed in Thailand at Takhli and Korat and flew bombing missions in North Vietnam and Laos during Operation Rolling Thunder during the Vietnam War.
'When a new pilot arrived at Takhli or Korat, he immediately purchased a 'go to hell hat' (an) Australian bush hat at the Post Exchange. For each mission flown against North Vietnam, he etched a black hash mark on the front of the hat; for missions into the Hanoi area (Route Package 6), he penned a red mark on the hat. Status in an F-105 Squadron often boiled down to how many red and black hash marks a pilot wore, with the ultimate status symbol being the 100-missions patch he recieved at the end of a tour.' *excerpt from; "Fast Movers: Jet Pilots and the Vietnam Experience" By John Sherwood

bunny hat kid is not specifically someone who owns a bunny hat, bunny hat kid is a mindset. this is someone whose whole entire humour, music taste, personality, style, religious and political beliefs, etc. is based off of tiktok. they think they are absolutely hilarious when all they say is overused things people say on tiktok. may also be seen with split dyed hair, or wears demonia swing 815's. however, owning a bunny hat/the shoes or having split dyed hair does NOT mean someone has the personality of a bunny hat kid. they are excusable when theyre under 13 years old because theyre a literal child, but someone over 13 who is a bunny hat kid isnt someone you want to associate with
"did you hear she listens to jazmin bean?? and look at the split dyed hair too, shes probably a bunny hat kid"
"dude, i talked to her for 30 seconds yesterday and she made 4 tiktok references. she certainly is. steer clear."

Saul at the corner deli is just "small hat no shekel" -- for all his talk of "friends in high places," why is it he's still slinging corn beef hash?
