Originally meaning of the word being agony or distress has been modulated so far as to even measure up for the unavailability of weed or other drugs or alcohol when they are hard to come by. The word still maintains its predominant position in usage relative to this particular scenario and is popular among the youth who use it as a decoy word for communication from the otherwise secretive drug life they share.
