A gaming term used to mean one of two things

1. "Power Owned", meaning that the player who was defeated was beaten quickly and easily, offering little to no resistance to the victorious player.

2. "Pistol Owned", used mainly in first person shooters. Refers to a player being soundly defeated by the victorious player, who used only a low-powered pistol or similar weak, initial weapon.

2. That guy's a pro! He just respawned and didn't even pick up a weapon, he pwned me like I was a noob!

Stemming from the misspelling of the word "owns", being that the "p" key is right next to the "o" key. It does not mean the possesive "owns", but as in a form of domination, such as in a game or sport.

Dude, he pwns you at Halo.
He pwns all of you at basketball.
I pwn your sister... all night long.

The word Pwn was originally a typo from when the writer wanted to say Own. Pwn is commonly used in internet games, for example: Counter-Strike. Pwn is used to explain that the player was badly beaten.
