Named for the 6th Circuit judge whose remarks at the reform club website inspired it, a Boggs Violation treats the other side of the argument as stupid and evil, while mischaracterizing everything said so as to come to that conclusion, while insisting on liberal and good-hearted understanding of one's own side..
