Performance demo progam

An unendorsed post-WW2 era program by a major retailer which allows cyclists to demo products for a short amount of time, cost-free.

Rider 1: Dude, I signed up for the 24-hour race but they price gouged me so bad I don't have money for lights, looks like I'll be hauling my old NiteRider battery on a pull-behind Burley trailer.

Rider 2: Man, don't be stupid. Just go pick up a light under the Performance demo progam and bring it back when you are done.

Poog

A cute animal, or rarely, a cute object (like a stuffed animal for example). Also used to describe people, as if they were your pets. Plural is poogs, or sometimes poogies.

Pronounced as poog, not pooj. It's thought to be a mixture of the words 'puss' and 'pig'.
