Misconception: Liverpool is full of scum and thieves.
Truth: All towns have their scum and thieves. Manchester has scum and thieves too. So does Chelsea and literally any country or town ever.
Misconception: Scousers hate
people from Manchester.
Truth: Not all. Only a few
people would go as far as to hold a silly grudge. We all come together to find peace and friendship in the end.
Misconception: Liverpool boasts about 'Cultural Importance'
Truth: It's not boasting. The truth is, Liverpool is very culturally important. We were one of the most populated places during the Industrial Revolution.
Misconception: Liverpool is a dirty, disgusting town.
Truth: Only some areas. We got hit badly by the WWII bombs and that destroyed our town. Some areas were able to be built again but some were just unable to be saved.
Misconception: Liverpool has a
stupid anthem.
Truth: To us, it's not
stupid. You'll Never Walk Alone is about how if you keep hope in your heart and you keep going even when
people knock you down, you'll never ever walk alone.
Misconception: The Scouser accent is totally rude, gross and
annoying.
Truth: Maybe to some
people, but to us, it's part of what makes Scousers, well, Scousers. We
may be loud and a little
annoying at times, and, yes, we may speak an entirely different language to you wools (posh people), but we are proud of our city, our accent and our culture and we are going to say it loud and proud, no matter what anybody says.
Anti-Liverpool
people: Liverpool is full of thieves and scum and they are rude and gross and
annoying.
Scousers: Actually, we have a lot of history in
England, so research before saying these things.
