social halitosis

Such as halitosis is for bad breath. This definition is used to define a horrible social mishap in which the yield is a terribly awkward silence and embarrassment as a result of said silence. Can be confused with word vomitting. Often used as a failed attempt of levity. Used in Say Anything's song on their new album named Say Anything- "She Won't Follow You."
(Amongst a group of females.)
Noble (male): "So what are you ladies doing this evening?

(Females): *Chatter Chatter*

Dick (Male that also joins the conversation.): "So what's up guys? I mean girls, you know because you guys are girls and have vaginas and such... (Pause) So what's up females?...

Noble (to crowd): "I can smell this guy's social halitosis from here."

Social Softener

A person brought into important business meetings to help soften the tone and diffuse anxiety.

This person often asks the introductory personal questions of the guests: What sort of drink would the guest like, how was their drive, did they find parking all right, would they like to use the bathroom before the meeting, how is their family, what a nice tie they are wearing, isn't the weather lovely...
"Even though she acted as the Social Softener, she was actually the true decision maker of the deal."

social shaming

The use of social media to shame a stubborn or unresponsive company into fixing its goods or services. In short, it's applying the doctrine of public humiliation to shape behavior to social media and thus a much larger or at least potentially much larger audience.
I'm using social shaming to make a software provider fix its crappy software.
