Missed loot is when you are taking things that are not yours yet and in that moment you realize that the goods you have, you may lose and the goods that are left to grab might not be worth it so you gotta get outa there with less than all of it.

hit or Miss

Describes how a spinster may either "score" wif a guy (i.e., "hit on" him to see if he finds her attractive/likeable, and then "hit da mark", as in, have him turn out to indeed be compatible enough wif her for them to get hitched), or "strike out" --- i.e., find him not to be da one for her --- and thus she will remain a "Miss" instead of a becoming "Mrs."

Da famous comedy-film "Runaway Bride" was definitely a prime example of "hit or Miss".
