A Spoof Bubble is a type or class of financial bubble and its distinguishing characteristic is marked by assertions or actions by respected financial authorities or planners such that fear of financial failure is dissipated.
One of the first spoof bubbles was John Law's banking scheme which came to be known as the Mississippi Bubble.
