Niraya

(Sanskrit: नरक; Pali: निरय Niraya) a term in Buddhist cosmology usually referred to in English as "hell" (or "hell realm") or "purgatory". The Narakas of Buddhism are closely related to diyu, the hell in Chinese mythology.
