The act of slacking and doing nothing all day, just like a lazy snake coiled up in its hole. Especially if you hide from view to avoid chores, work, etc. Also, any kind of total, undisturbed resting.

Sergeant: where is that lazy SOB? We have cleaning chores to do before the inspection!
Private: Uhh...he's probably snaking somewhere around here.

Dude 1: What have you been doing lately?
Dude 2: Uh....nothing. Just snaking all day.

I am so tired after eating, that I need a couple hours of snaking.

The act of "sniping" a quote, i.e taking a sentence or sentences and replying to them individually.

While not being quote mining per se, quote sniping is regarded as a nefarious thing to do while arguing on online forums.

Person 1: Do you agree about X?
Person 2: Yes, because it's a valid arguement.

Person 1: First of all, it's "argument". Silent e's disappear when suffixes are added. Secondly, outright denying blatantly true facts is not a valid argument.

the only way to avoid a snipe is to put up two fingers to indicate you are aware of the snipe, or to smile and make it a nice picture- because if it's a good picture, it's not a good snipe

other forms of this game include dropping. dropping is when you plant an object on a friend without their knowledge, usually resulting in a ridiculous appearance.

the best combination is a drop snipe because then you have a ridiculously embarrassing picture of your friend to tag on facebook
