A person with midcurve thinking has bad outcomes because the person isn't smart enough to make the correct decision based on logic, nor dumb enough to just "follow their gut" which would usually produce a better outcome than whatever they choose. Midcurve thinking is done by midwits. Can be used as a verb or adjective.

Expressing a very average, common, or politically correct opinion and backing up that opinion with lots of info/math/statistics etc when that opinion is contrary to opposite viewpoints with much simpler explanations. The term is used most often in financial circles.
Investor 1: “Bitcoin’s price will be going down for the foreseeable future and here’s why. According to my calculations……”
Investor 2: “Dude, you’re midcurving. Bitcoin’s price will rise cause more people are gonna buy it as time goes on.”
