cube rebel

Someone who is has no other choices to work in a corporate, bureaucratic office, and more often than not, sits in some variation of numerous cubicle desks in the office, floor, building. This person fights for individuality daily, resists the automaton culture, in minute ways in their 8 x 8 cubicle space. Small acts of rebellion could include: cubicle art/pictures, wearing outrageous nail polish/underwear/or no underwear at all under your corporate attire, faking "busyness" and "work", etc. Despite these daily rebellious acts, their spirit dies everyday that they remain....

1. Mary comes in everyday for his 9-5, but hates it, it isn't for him--he is such a cube rebel.

2. I'm much too creative for this office job and expectation (and pressure) to I should fit into this bureaucratic corporate culture! I'm surrounded by sheep and lemmings!

Cube vomit

The overloading of personal items brought in by "that" co-worker in the cube farm that insists on reliving childhood show and tell - pictures, "thoughts of the day", bobbleheads, inspirational day-by-day calendars, and hideous paraphenilia. Frequently includes cats and grandchildren in precarious outfits.

"Whoa. Did you see what Mrs. Baglady brought in this time? How does she even find her file folders? Are those cats kissing? Ugh. Cube vomit"

An attempt to create a false sense of privacy in an office environment. Also makes it easier for "workers" to do nothing but sip their coffee and listen to Kenny G all day.

Nothing ever gets done in that cube farm.

cube macking

The act of repeatedly stopping by a co-worker's cubicle trying to ask them out on a date by feeding them a lame come-on line. It usually involves the person doing the macking actually leaning on the outside of the mack-ee's cubicle unit so as to make for a more intimate setting, while keeping respect to "boundaries," to ask a non-work-related question rather than coming around to the inside of the person's cubicle to discuss a legitimate, work-related topic.

Alfonso keeps cube macking on Sally to see if she'll go on a date with him; even though he's cube macked on every single woman in the office and they've all said no.

cube vomit

A metaphor for the experience of having your boss come in to your cube with no real motivating factor and:
1) run through a random list of incomplete thoughts (usually conveyed in incomplete sentences)
2) preemptively thank you for agreeing to perform the most poorly defined of those "ideas"
3) request that it be done by tomorrow

*bonus: the boss is eating lunch while doing the above

I had my headphones on, my plant was positioned to block eye contact from people passing by, and excel was open because of that deadline for the report next week...

Totally didn't stop him -- cube vomit everywhere. I tried to stop him mid hurl, but he didn't care. I wasted three hours cleaning up that shit. And then he did a remote vomit via email: now he wants weekly updates so I can better manage my time and get more work done.
