Confabulalgia

Sorrowfull feeling of nostalgia for distant memories one has never personally experienced. Confabulation is pressence and creation of "fake memories" and nostalgia is moody feeling over past experiences and memories, therefore confabulation is a portmanteau of confabulation and nostalgia.

Person 1: "Dude, check out this song from 1920's, it sounds so familiar, its like I lived in that time period!"

Person 2: "Maaan, you are experiencing confabulalgia right now! Chill out, you did not reincarnate..."

My wife has a tendency to conflatulate.

She just asked me to pass her the Sand Hanitizer.

She keeps saying "Hey Alexandra!" and wonders why Alexa never responds.

I would be concerned, but she's done it all her life, so I know it's not dementia.
