The voice used by some men when talking on the phone to a woman they are interested in. The voice is usually high pitched, somewhat faster than usual (due to excitement that he might actually get laid) and is almost always accompianied by a dumb looking half smile.
Needless to say, the Boo Boo Voice is frowned upon amongst men, as it is seen as a sign of weakness. Expereinced Boo Boo Voicers have been known to leave the room proir to using the Boo Boo Voice to avoid ridicule.

Boo Boo always went along with whatever Yogi did even though he thought better of the situation. In doing so anyways, he was a perennial accessory to the crime of stealing pic-a-nic baskets.

In the 1960s TV show Laverne & Shirley, a black stuffed cat was named Boo Boo Kitty. This was Shirley’s childhood toy that she would cradle when she was sad. Actress Cindy Williams created this name one day while shooting a scene “off the cuff” when she grabbed a prop cat and the term just came out. Because SHE is brilliant. Others have since copied the term, one has claimed it as her own- but make no mistake it originated on this widely watched TV show that has been in re-runs for decades.
