The prime example comes from the media, the internet, and WEB pages with the only purpose being misleading EVERYONE. As we have witnessed so frequently, cops get to distribute BFL's as often as they see fit with no concern for reprimand.

Uvalde Police Department famously claimed one of their officers had fired on the shooter before he entered the school. Later forced to admit it was a B.F.L.
