The plot centres around a woman named Bella Baxter (played by Stone) who is brought back to life by a scientist called Dr Godwin Baxter (Dafoe) Bella eventually decides leave Godwin Baxter with a lawyer named Duncan Wedderburn (Ruffalo) and learn more about life and explore the world.
