I was walking along the streets of New York City thinking of the 2001 hit romantic comedy Serendipity when I looked up and saw that I was right in front of the small shop Serendipity. If that doesn't describe the brilliance of sheer serendipity, I don't know what does.

World Series

The World Series appears to have got its name due to hyperbolic newspaper reporting during its early days. It seems to be accepted now that the New York World Newspaper did not sponsor the event. So blame the media, not Americans

The first several contests between the two league champions were reported under a variety of titles -- "championship series," "world championship series," "world's series" -- before eventually becoming standardized in name as the "World Series." Serioso

A term for one's significant other, to be used by adult heterosexual couples in long-term or lifelong, monogamous relationships who are serious, live together and have built their lives together, but have yet to get engaged or don't intend to marry at all.

Where "boyfriend/girlfriend" is too childish, "husband/wife" doesn't apply, "fiance" is dishonest, "partner" sounds homosexual and "lover" is too sexual, there is serioso. Coined by Chemda of the Keith and The Girl podcast, episode 130.

A tyrannic despot who believe he is god over the pokemon world. If anyone stand up to him, or critizises him in any way, he will hunt down and brutally slay this person. He got his power by stealing from others, and gathering a cult of mindless drones who believe every word he utters.
