Loosely derivative of pseudo-religious "Anti-Christ" literature and a reference to the Marvel villain "Zebediah Killgrave" AKA "Purple Man".

Iam "That's not true! Look at what Daryl Davis was able to do with those KKK members. He was able to get through the cognitive dissonance and get them to operate outside of the framework of conceptualization they had initially adopted."
Hym "That's just trading one framework for another. The act of adopting the framework allows them to forgo the 'reasoning' that is required (by definition) to constitute the expression of 'ego'."
