A man or a woman who, based on their talent(s), becomes a success; especially in the movie or music industry.

Those Johnnys and Fannys are shooting stars and will make it to the big time at last.

It's all well and good that the TV/film and music industry desires more diversity however it is also for the best not to overlook all of the struggling johnnys and fannys.

Johnnie

Johnnie (noun): A well-meaning yet oblivious individual who possesses the uncanny ability to leave bath towels in a crumpled heap on the floor as if the towel rack were a forbidden artifact. Johnnies are often characterized by their insistence that “they were going to hang it up later” and their talent for denying all evidence of damp chaos. Known to strike fear into laundry baskets everywhere, a Johnnie can also be found opening every cabinet and leaving them ajar, like a reverse poltergeist.

Johnny Derp

A man with such a fragile male ego that even describing him without actually naming him enrages him. A man who court-shops a defamation lawsuit because the state that actually would handle the case would immediately dismiss it due to strict defamation laws. A man whose lawyers will forever be known for defending a wife-beater.

Judging from recent posts on Twitter, the world is finally starting to see the truth about Johnny Derp. His most recent film underwhelmed at the box office, bringing in only 10% of the film's budget. He lied on the stand about his ex-wife cutting his finger. And, prior to getting together with his ex-wife, he was arrested for assault. But, of course, his fans ignore anything that paints him in a bad light. He & his fans are the Hollywood equivalent of Donald Trump & Trump's supporters.
